Simulation games have virtually explored environments from building a city to setting up a corner drug-sales operation, so why not throw high-stakes paintball into the mix? Gold Paintball Manager is a text-based sim, putting the player in the decidedly odd role of paintball team manager. There are no fancy battles here, no ways for players to do a little target practice themselves, or even watch their team in action. Instead, players build teams, allocate funds to training, and buy guns. When a match is on, a small creature appears to describe the battle with messages in a text window. Even this gameplay leaves much to be desired, however. For instance, there is little information given about the equipment being purchased, so it's not clear why a Piranha gun costs $1,360 and Hell Furlong $5,150, or how it will help your team. All told, we'd recommend spending your game money on a sim with more features than this one.

LSD Paintball Manager is an extremely weird simulation game. Take control of your paintball team and kick trash with paintball guns to stay ahead. To accomplish this worthy goal you can hire a better coach, players, train them, change tactics, buy new gear magic artifacts. Raise money by applying for sponsorship, making LSD, selling Art, or saving your cash to finally hire a PhD chemist to help your lab profits take off.
