LP Ripper makes the task of converting vinyl LPs, tapes and cassettes to MP3 files or CDs much easier. Just record each side of your LP as a single WAV file on your computer. LP Ripper automatically splits the file into a separate WAV file for each track. Optionally, it can also call a MP3, WMA, AAC or similar encoder to produce a compressed file for each track. You can listen to previews of tracks and visually trim the start and finish.

What's new in this version:

Version 10.0 adds special folder support, unified encoder setup.

Version: LP Ripper 10.0

"nothing very significant added from earlier versioin"

Pros: The original (of which this download is an upgrade) has proven to be great, very user friendly and very simple software for basic ripping.

Cons: Not all the bells and whistles of much more complicated stuff. That's both the plus (for me) and perhaps a minus for someone wanting more features.

Summary: I'm not a geek or an audiophile, and was able to get to work with the ripper right away. Not a very steep learning curve. If you just want to convert LPs and cassettes, (which is what I wanted,) it's just the ticket.
