Publisher's description
From Lamer Productions :LP-NetChess is an online chess game that allows you to play against anyone in the world. It supports both live games (where you make your moves quickly) and long games (where you might only move once every few hours, days or even weeks). You do not need to stay logged into LP-NetChess for your games to continue - you only need to log in to move if you wish, although if you stay logged in you will be able to tell when it's your move in a game or if someone has requested a new game with you. Other features supported by LP-NetChess include the option of receiving e-mails or even SMS to alert you when it's your move, and the ability to play some chess variants as well as standard chess. The variants currently available to play are Chess960, Pawns game and Weak.

This software version | All versions -
Version: LP-NetChess 1.0
Pros: Can play against people you know or just find random people to play against.
Can have several games going at the same time - can last 10 mins or a couple of months.
Can play shuffle chess and a couple of other different versions of chess.Cons: Web-based version doesn't update automatically when it's your move, so better for long games. Use the app version for short games.
Summary: Easy to use etc. I recommend using the app version when at home but the web version if you're playing from somewhere else, e.g. work or school.
