  "Nice, effective and fun to use"

  Pros

  Great software that helped me to learn Mandarin quite quickly and made a difficult language pretty easy to learn thanks to an intuitive user interface and multimedia features.

  The Personaltrainer Method is a very efficent and smart way to learn Asian languages.

  You need Java installed.

  "Effective, Fun and Easy to Use"

  Pros

  I am using the L-Ceps Personaltrainer for another language (Thai) and I am very happy with it. The Personaltrainer programs all follow the same approach to language learning and I particularly like the following:

  - Very good pronunciation by natives

  - Very intuitive user interface -it is fun and motivating

  - Interactive multimedia learning -effective by using multi-channel approach

  - Printable vocabulary cards for learning besides the computer

  "Adaptive and effective"

  Pros

  I have tried a number of Chinese Mandarin software products but found them either too simple or too complicated. L-Ceps Personaltrainer Chinese Mandarin offers a very good user interface that allows you to really customise the program to your individual learning style. You can for example choose if you like to learn with the chinese characters of the phonetic/pinyin system. You can also tell the program if you like to focus more on individual words, sentences or both. There are also several features that keep the learner motivated, e.g. a Joker function and a guided learning modus. This is the best product I have seen so far.
