"Fabulous alternative to MS (and even OO)"
Pros
Freeware, opens & saves in MS compatible formats
This is NOT Bait and switch (most if not all software you download is bigger when you unpack/install it than the download size. This is to keep download times to a minimum. Files are compressed - often in .zip format, then uncompress when installed - duh)
Many very attractive templates are available, also for free.Cons
Unlike Open Office, it only has 3 modules - Word Processor, Spreadsheet and Presentation (Word, Excel and PowerPoint emulation). Does not have the Database module that Open Office has.
Summary
Years ago Sun Microsystems challenged Microsoft with it's Open Office suite to try to find a ***** in the MS armor. Kingsoft has done a fine job of providing yet another alternative. Long live freeware!
***** is not a dirty word and should not have been starred out! It's a valid noun! This auto-editing is not very bright! (CH - INK)
