"How do I count the crashes?"
Pros
None. It won't download from the store. Well it does download then it resets the count of books I have to 0 and tries to download the same book again. The only books I have on it are the ones it came with which I have NO interest in. I read them in High School and considered them as much fun as a tooth extraction without pain killers.
Cons
It has crashed 3 times in 15 minutes. And that is just 15 minutes worth. It keeps trying to download the same book repeatedly. It downloads one book in the amount of time I can download 5 epubs for Calibre.
Summary
I was on the fence about an ereader. This software made my decision for me. As bad as this is, I won't be buying a Kindle. It's will be a Nook. To sum up this experience in on sentence? What a hunk of junk.
I uninstalled the software and downloaded the book in epub. Took about 2 minutes to download it and open it to read. Sure beats the last half hour of trying to download to the Kindle for PC and the 4 reinstalls of that software plus trouble shooting [2 hours total] PS... I'm a computer guru for my friends and have been working with DOS and Windows since 1990. So a hunk of junk IS a hunk of junk.

Sounds like a problem with the download rather than the product itself as it works fine on my laptop. Could your firewall be blocking parts of the download? My only quibbles are not being able to read ebooks from other sites on it (at least not without renaming the file type), and that I sometimes have to hit the synch button to see my Amazon-bought books on the library page.
