This application offers parents a piece of mind while youngsters peruse the Web, though it has some slight limitations. KidSplorer Web Browser only allows children to visit Web sites you've selected. The program operates in KidSafe mode and is password-protected. There is a parental mode for easy configuration, though the password is disabled in this version. You'll be able to add, edit, and remove URLs. The program can be set to run at start-up and its interface is pleasing and kid-friendly. Approved site names are conveniently listed in a column so kids can simply point and click to access approved sites. While it doesn't limit PC use altogether, you'll certainly appreciate the addition of a time manager to block Internet access at specified times. For controlling childrens' online playtime, KidSplorer is notably effective.Publisher's description

Version: KidSplorer Web Browser 4.2.6
Cons: I downloaded the trial version on our windows 98 computer successfully. However when I decided to 'buy' I received a link to download the full version. When I tried to install it, it came up with errors. I contacted the developer and they (eventually) said it was because I had windows 98. They advertise being able to work with windows 98, and I did not here back from them at all and was not offered a refund.
