This program is designed to relieve some anxieties related to keylogging programs, which are spyware and adware applications that run in stealth mode to record keystrokes. Unlike other anti-spyware utilities, which remove the offending applications from a computer, Keylogger Killer quickly scans a system and lists the offending or suspicious DLLs or drivers that trip its filters. From there, the user can choose to allow or disallow each item. The interface is simple, clean, and very functional. The drawback is the required reboot for the change to take effect. Multiple tests on known keylogger utilities proved that disallowed DLLs could be successfully switched back to active mode. However, in one test of a known commercial keylogger utility, Keylogger Killer did not identify it in the interface's Company or Product columns. This program might best suit sophisticated users who are already aware of tricks of keylogging programs. Less-savvy users should stick with an all-purpose firewall and spyware filter.

Developer's Description

Keylogger Killer is designed to combat various types of key-logging and activity-monitoring programs. It is based on artificial intelligence algorithms, and does not reply on signature matching, enabling it to detect many new or unknown types of key-logging and activity-monitoring programs. The window shows you a list of all detected programs that are using hooks or other techniques that allow it to interact with keyboard activity, and you can choose to allow or disable selected items.
