"Great Utility Program!"
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
Got my Win 7 product key in about 3 seconds after installation.
Cons
None that I could see.
Summary
I don't understand the bad reviews- the software installed flawlessly and I was able to get my lost Win 7 product key immediately. To top it off, it's free. 5 stars to the programmer!

"It does what is is suppose to."
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
It is fast and accurate.
Easy to use within it's parameters.Cons
You cannot select which drive you want to work with.
I found this to be a big hole the program.
I have 2 HD's and 2 CD/DVD drives that I use, and I want be able to start Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6 and then have it ask me where to go; C:, D:,E: F: J: and a multi Card Reader or whateverelse I might be using to keep programs on..Summary
Very good but with limitations that will irk some users.

"Does not do what it says"
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
There are no pros
Cons
Does not show anything other than my OS key... what POS
Summary
Magical Jelly bean Key finder with a new name. What a rip. Almost fraud and copyright infringement.

"Recovers A few More Keys than the Program "Product Key""
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
It does recover a few more keys than the Product Key but actually I have none on my computer and it is loaded. They appear to be mostly older programs that are now superseded by newer ones.
Cons
Doesn't recover enough to be worth the effort.
They have another program for $25 that does recover more and that is called "Recover Keys." I doubt it is worth the price.I could see$5.95 but not $24.95.Summary
Don't bother. Make a speadsheet in Excel and everytime you get a new program enter the product registration information. You'll be money ahead and have a better and more complete record.

"Does not work!!"
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6

Cons
Doesn't work on W7 64 bit.

"Did not work on Win7-64"
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
Easy to install
Cons
Did not work on Win7 64 version; includes easily missed bloatware "toolbar" for browser.
-
"Free and very easy to use."
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
Free. Very easy to use, highly recommended for Microsoft products.
Cons
Does not find keys to very many programs. You have to buy other software for more programs, which is okay if you only want the Microsoft keys.
-
"Worth the price."
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
Free. With a side of free.
Cons
Didn't locate the Office 2007 install. Ran for a long time. SW does not allow user to point the application towards a specific drive letter or folder.
-
"See no reason to look any further for better"
Version: Keyfinder Thing 3.1.6
Pros
small program, fast install, did what it says quickly
Cons
none at all
Summary
I almost got rid of my $50 game because it wouldn't recognize the key any more. Somehow it had changed and added a digit to the end of the product key on the box(i know, weird)but keyfinder grabbed it and showed it in its new form. People need to be paid for this excellent little program.
