    "Not compatible with Firefox 2.0.0.4"

by UKposter on July 6, 2007

Pros: I rarely use IE, just M/soft updates, it seems OK on it though

Cons: I only gave this 2*'s because I can't judge from my minimal use of IE how good it is, it would be good to find out how good it is, if it worked with more recent versions of Firefox.

This application seemed to be working fine, scrambling my user names/passwords and email addresses, after my initial problems with it.

I leave KeyScrambler on all of the time, today I used Opera browser to access download . com, Firefox had other sites open at the same time, KeyScrambler decided that it would scramble my log-in input......gibberish that the site not unexpectedly refused to recognise. I've had Opera running alongside Firefox before and signed into sites without problems before, another quirk?

I am using the full browser version of Firefox. After afew un-installs and re-installs it now seems to be working fine, thanks for the response and I'm sorry that I didn't reply before now.

I'm wondering if it was another FF add-on that it was clashing with, I tried disabling a few of them, the security-type ones, but nothing was obviously the cause.

If you're using Firefox portable, that might be the problem. Also, you might try clicking on "Start -> All Programs -> KeyScrambler -> Installation for Firefox" and click on the installation link to reinstall the Firefox add-on.

When I click on Tools in Firefox, then Add-ons, against keyscrambler.xpi I get a note that states 'Not compatible with Firefox 2.0.0.4'. I've tried re-installing it and still get the same note.

KeyScrambler has been compatible with Firefox 2.0 for quite a while now. The requirement of "Firefox 1.5" listed on this page is a "minimum" requirement.
