"Program itself is fine, but the hidden cost is high."
Version: Keeper Desktop 5.1
Pros
Program works flawlessly, easy to use.
Cons
Like previous posters I thought that paying for the mobile devices paid for the desktop program on the computer as well, so when I paid for my Iphone and ipad I thought that was it. Not hardly 9.99 for EACH device. Since I see other password programs lower priced for free I think it is time to explore further. The developers need to review both price and the way the advertising is written as it is described by many as misleading.

"Absolute Crap"
Version: Keeper Desktop 5.1
Pros
It works well on the first device for the first year
Cons
Be prepared to be ripped off by the billing department if you add or renew devices.
Summary
The program works flawlessly until you need to add additional devices or renew a subscription. They do not let you access this info yourself and have very poor ability to determine if or when you paid. save your money get KeePass or LastPass

"False Advertising"
Version: Keeper Desktop 5.1
Pros
Easy to use. Does well with organizing passwords.
Cons
False advertising. I have been a user for several years now. This year 2012 I decide I do no renew right away so Keeper begins to load my in box with advertising. The emails I have received say "You can purchase Keeper Backup for $9.99/year. This includes Sync (Across All Devices), Cloud Backup, Cloud Restore and Customer Support for less than $1 a month." Notice the "(across all devices)" ok I fell for it and I decided well I can do $9.99 for my three devices but I couldn't do $29.99 for the three. So I thought they were giving me a deal - VERY WRONG! After paying the $10 and then trying to sync my other 2 devices it wanted to charge me for 2 more subscriptions ($19.98). So I spoke to online support and all he would do is point me to the page with the cost per device. I guess it doesn't matter what they put in email advertising (lies and all).
Summary
I just don't like false advertising or tricks to try to get clients. I will be looking for another program to use. I am willing to pay for storage space but $30 for three devices for less than 100mb is very expensive.

"Stay Away, Misleading and Deceptive"
Version: Keeper Desktop 5.1
Pros
Easy to use and navigate
Cons
This roduct is very misleading. I dowloaded the free version on my IPhone. I chose not to upgrade to the paid version with sync and one day could not access my information. I entered into a live chat and was told that the only way to access my information was to upgrade to the paid version. On the company's FAQ page, they say themselves that you can continue with the free version without sync if you wish. The person on the live chat window did not tell me this and I proceeded to upgrade. The real issue is due to a wrong security question answer that if Ido not remeber, I cant access my account anyway, so whether I pay or not, I still cannot access my info.

"Mis-advertised !"
Version: Keeper Desktop 5.1
Pros
Good functioning app.
Cons
They allure you with FREE but in actuality it is a complete rip-off. If you pay for it ($9.99 / per year! ) on one device, you won't be able to sync it with another until you pay for it as well, even so on their Pricing chart here: https://keepersecurity.com/pricing
it says that you will be able to sync the devices if you pay $9.99. -
"DO NOT PURCHASE ! ---- NOT WORTH THE MONEY!"
Version: Keeper Desktop 5.0.3
Pros
It's a great program, it will do everything as promise!
Cons
If you are looking to back up your password, sync over wifi among other devices, you will have to purchase a subscription for every device!
Summary
It is not worth purchasing.
I purchased this item yesterday with the thought of being able to have this device backed up to my computer and across all my devices. That's not the case! In order for you to back it up on your computer, you will have to purchase a subscription for the PC. If you want it on your iPad, you will have to purchase a subscription for that too. If you want it on your iPad, you will have to purchase a subscription for that.
So look how much I would have to spend with KEEPER:
My PC: 10.00
iPod: 10.00
iPad: 10.00
Phone: 10.00
Total: $40.00
That's not worth it!
For the same features and everything check out:
OneSafe or mSecure
This is an update as of 8/1/12 !
DO NOT PURCHASE!! -
"Waste of time and money"
Version: Keeper Desktop 4.12
Pros
Started out good, but after 4 months it's essentially a brick.
Cons
Customer service is NON existant. After 4 E-mails and a live chat the bottom line was, "Oppps we're so sorry"! Absolutely no rational response to reconciling a problem THEY created. Now all I get is red flag messages saying I need to pay more money to use a program I already paid good money to use.
Summary
I downloaded Keeper on my ITouch in September 2011 when at the program was Free to download on either, or all of a IPad, ITouch and/or IPhone. The company also advertised a windows version for $9.99 which could be downloaded on a desktop, or laptop enabling the ability to sync between the above Apple platforms and a windows platform. I paid the $9.99 and downloaded the Keeper to my laptop which worked for 3 months syncing back and forth without issue. In February 2012 Keeper changed their policy saying they would charge $9.99 per "device". I afterwards found I receive an annoying red flag pop up on my laptop saying "your device is not authorized". Apparently, Keeper now says they consider my ITouch a device and my laptop is another device, hence having already paid $9.99 to get the two devices to since they changed their policy midstream and now refuse to honor the agreement they started. Keeper wants me to now pay another $9.99 to be able to sync despite the fact this is precisely what I paid the first $9.99 to do effectively for 3 months. As a result, I paid $9.99 to sync for 1 contract year and received 3 months instead. $9.99 may not be much but based on this I see no reason to believe they will not change their minds and honor any other payments, or contracts. I have since found a program called Secure Safe which offers storage for 50 pass words and the ability to download a windows version on as many computers and/or devices as you like FREE. For less than $2.00 you can upgrade to unlimited passwords. I have found the program and APP to be vastly superior. STAY AWAY FROM KEEPER AT ALL COSTS.

"good software, terrible business practice."
Version: Keeper Desktop 4.12
Pros
the software does very well. it works wonderfully
Cons
the business changes every year or so and they invent new things you need to pay for. when I bought the software, you paid a single fee to run it on 3 desktop machines and as many iDevices as you wanted. since then they went to monthly charges and then to a monthly charge for each and every device.
now they say, "we're sorry, but you only get 3 devices" and the software becomes very limited. so if you choose to get this, know that at some future point it's likely they'll change the model to get more money out of you.Summary
good software, but they'll change the business model every so often to get more money out of you.

"product good; charges deceptive"
Version: Keeper Desktop 2.7.5
Pros
great product- works fine
Cons
when i bought it, it said i could sync w/ a mobile device; then lo and behold i got the "bait and switch"- they now want $30/year for me to be able to sync to my computers/phone; they should honor their original agreement; also- their tech support is poor; can't reach live agent, even though that too was part of original agreement
Summary
hope they can realize cost and support are key to keep customers
I did get to Live Chat w/ Keeper just now & they were helpful on fixing my issue. So in all fairness I will amend this to say that if you contact Live Support it can work- but you won't be able to speak to someone (i got Chat only)-- nonenethess I would now upgrade to 3 stars. The cost issue and confusion over that are still notable but i do love Keeper as a product.

"Don't buy ..."
Version: Keeper Desktop 2.6.1
Pros
didn't use it after reading the text in the installer
Cons
It isn't a one time purchase, it charges either a few dollars ever few months or $30 once a year.
Summary
It isn't a one time purchase, it charges either a few dollars ever few months or $30 once a year.
It stated this in the trials installer application.
Ashame Cnet's review neglected to mention this crucial fact in their, uhmm, "review".
