KeePass Password Safe helps you create secure passwords and then keep them safe in a master list, so you can access them at any time. Your password list is kept encrypted. It can only be accessed with a Master Password that you create, so you can use a different password for all of your accounts but only have to remember one.
Pros
Password Generator: The Password Generator included in this program is a nice addition, and it gives you the ability to create all kinds of random passwords that will be much harder for someone else to guess than anything you could come up with on your own. You can choose how long you want the passwords to be and what types of characters you'd like to use in them. Options include uppercase, lowercase, number, underline, spaces, special characters, brackets, and more.
Multiple databases: To store all of the passwords and other log-in information you need to access your various accounts, you can create one or more databases within this program. Each database can have its own name and description, which will make it that much easier to find the log-in you're looking for later on.
Drag and drop log-ins: To use the log-in information stored in this app to access one of your online accounts, you have a couple of options. One is to just copy and paste the username and password into the appropriate fields on the website, but you can also just drag and drop the entries directly from KeePass into the corresponding log-in spaces, which is a handy feature.
Cons
Unintuitive: Many of the processes included in this app are not terribly intuitive in terms of the steps you have to take and the way they're laid out. The interface itself is quite utilitarian, and it doesn't offer a lot of help, especially for new users just starting to find their way around.
Bottom Line
KeePass Password Safe is a useful free program, and it allows you to create passwords that meet just about any specification. The drag and drop option is a nice one for getting your information out of the program and into the spaces you need it to be. While the interface could be more friendly, the program isn't actually hard to use once you find your way around.

A database consists of only one file that can be transferred from one computer to another easily. The program supports password groups, in which you can sort your passwords into.
You can drag-n-drop passwords into almost any other window. The auto-type feature types your login information into other windows automatically (just press a hot key). Fast copying passwords or user names to the clipboard is possible by just double-clicking on the specific field in the password list.
KeePass can import data from various file formats. The password list can be exported to various formats, including TXT, HTML, XML and CSV files. The password list can of course also be printed (complete database or only current view).
Searching and sorting the password database is possible.
KeePass ships with a strong random password generator (you can define the possible output characters, length, patterns, rules and restrictions).
The program is available in over 40 languages. It has a plugin framework; plugins provide additional functionality like backup features, network features, integration with other applications, etc.; they are available from the KeePass website.
