Version: KbStart 1.7
"Good idea but poor program."
Summary: Launching keywords tends to be slow, and when you launch websites you have to type two hotkeys (Alt+Enter and CTRL+O). The preset commands are nice though. For anyone interested in keyboard launchers I would recommend PC-Com. PC-Com has more options and features like searching the web, dictionary lookups, sending e-mail, playing MP3s. The response time is quicker and setting up keywords is a breeze.

I've tried Keybreeze. In theory it should be awesome, and better than KBStart (and free) but in reality it is buggy and doesn't work as promised. Sometimes the context menu doesn't work to add programs to the list, the macros rarely work, the keywords get mixed up occasionally, the focus doesn't work correctly on all programs, etc. If it works properly, however, then it IS better than KBStart ... but if you're struggling with a time-saving program then are you really saving any time?
