tried to join same two avi video files, but join them to mov, it seemed to be working, the first join to avi froze making only a 125K file that of course wouldn't play. (clips are 381Mb). The attempt to mov ran to a full bar (indicating completion) and made a 1.6Gb file), but then froze and had to be terminated, the file wouldn't play.

I've tried it a dozen times. It's bogus and these other reviews were posted in fraud.
