    "Ruined my laptop"

    May 9, 2014  |   By Steelpen5

    Version: Kaspersky TDSSKiller 3.0.0.34

    Pros

I ran it and it said it had two security items
I chose to delete them. It then said to reboot which I did
Now my computer keeps trying to reboot but never does. It has a black screen. Cant open it in safe mode or any other. No help either for this.

    Cons

It has the potential to ruin your computer

"I got a Blue screen and my computer is ruined. Thanks"

    September 19, 2013  |   By celita37

    Version: Kaspersky TDSSKiller 2.8.18

    Pros

    absolutely none

    Cons

Immediately my crashed and a blue screen popped up and now I can do absolutley nothing with my computer and probably everything is now lost all because I choose Cnet and their phony virus removal software that is really even more damaging to your computer. The first button on the top of the screen is not the Kapersky TDSS Killer software. All I am saying is that don't even bother to waste you time with this product. It is not working to say the least and will ruin you computer. BEWARE!

    Version: Kaspersky TDSSKiller 2.8.18

    Pros

It found the virus and took care of it.

    Cons

was concerned it would not work since it downloaded and scanned so fast. Too easy.

    Summary

I love it, it did what no other antiviral could do and I put three others on my pc!

"Kaspersky TDSSKiller, don't waste your time"

    July 5, 2013  |   By Ted Martin

    Version: Kaspersky TDSSKiller 2.8.18

    Pros

Fast, you know quickly if it found anything.

    Cons

Brief, so it probably didn't find anything unless it recognized something obvious.

    Summary

Too minimal, doesn't do much. Stick with Malwarebytes.

"Didn't make it worse, but didn't make it better"

    June 16, 2013  |   By hethomps

    Version: Kaspersky TDSSKiller 2.8.18

    Pros

At least this didn't make the problem worse, unlike several other products I tried (which are included in the CNET list, beware).

    Cons

It found a couple of unsigned files, calling them "medium risk" threats, but these were not what was causing the problem.

    Summary

This might work for you, but it can't find the rootkit virus I have on my machine.

"DANGER! IT'S A VIRUS ITSELF!! DO NOT INSTALL IT OR ELSE"

    May 24, 2013  |   By TwistedTwerp

    Version: Kaspersky TDSSKiller 2.8.17

    Pros

None, it's a pathetic piece of software.

    Cons

Unless you are an experienced software engineer you will NOT be able to remove Kaspersky from your computer. If you use Windows to Uninstall, Kaspersky lays eggs that upon rebooting hatch and reinstall the software all by itself. That folks IS the definition of MalWare/Viruses.
