I have trysted Kaspersky for a long time. This year I installed Kasperksy Pure, I now have a trojan on my computer so it not only did not detect it and inform me, but apparently there is no way that it blocked it or is there any way to purge it. Talk about useless software. And now my computer is infected. I will find out how to fix this but this expensive software is now going to cost me a lot more. I am so disgusted!!!!!!!!!
Summary
I am beyond mad.
BTW- I believe I picked this up from software I downloaded from CNET. Disapponted in so many ways.

"Just plain does NOT work!"

Slow to update and when you click on the icon on the title bar it takes for ever to bring up the dialog box. In fact, it is almost impossible to know if it is even doing anything. I only had the software for a month when it would lock up and eventually Vista would give me the "program is not responding" message. Now it has corrupt databases that no matter what I do, it will not fix the problem. I end up only having limited protection. In fact, as I am writing this it crashed again.
Summary
Any software that has a repair feature built in should be a warning to you....

Does not fix the problem, i.e. doesn't actually delete the virus/spyware/adware/whatever else. This software is utterly frustrating and useless.

Summary
Shopping for anti-virus software, I was informed of SuperAntiSpyware. So, I ran my Kespersky full scan (prior scan was 1 weak ago). Then downloaded and ran the SuperAntiSpyware software. The SuperAntiSpayware caught several threats including a trojan. THE KASPERSKY DID NOT CATCH A SINGLE ONE. I emailed Kaspersky the scan log and asked them why their program did not catch the threats. Email response: "The system should have caught the threats". So, I email them back and advised them to Man-Up and admit your software is not as good as SuperAntiSpyware. I saved the email if anyone needs proof.

Memory hog big time. My machine is i7 quad core 8G memory. When running full scan this thing really slows down my laptop. This thing is brand new and runs great when not scanning. Major bummer been using kas products for long time. Please fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Resource hog big time. Finally had to uninstall. KIS 2012 much better. Wasted money on this. Kaspersky you need too fix this. Total B.S

Same thing as in KIS2011. Detects every system process as a malicious process. Crashes the PC down.

I wouldn't know where to start, and there is no space here anyway. Seriously, please take the time and do some research to see what it can do, or better yet, just download and try it for yourself. Worth every penny if you buy it.
Cons
I miss boot-time scan from Avast, but it doesn't work on 64-bit anyway plus if you're protected by KP you don't really need to do a boot-time scan. It's just professional, it's almost like having the quality of a business or server AV for the public.
