    "A Total Rip Off"

by JoyceNgo on November 20, 2007

Pros: I like it because it uses very little RAM, and it's somewhat fast.

Cons: I have no idea how many times I had to set rules for the firewall and it still does the opposite of what I saw and repeating things as if I was not clear enough.

Then here comes the technical support. I bought my version legally, in package and purchased a key and it has been blacklisted.. and then I was confused. I purchased another one, blacklisted, and then I gave up and asked them what happened and they said I was pirating and used a key that I did not purchase. Geez that's helpful when I just had two keys I bought and they've been working for only about 3 weeks in total! SHOWS HOW MUCH THEY CARE. No wonder this product is so underrated now.

And CMG54, I don't even think you have a life, but you're here to judge my reviews. I find it interesting that you claim to "like to read my reviews" yet now when it comes down to problems with a program, I see you saying this is "useless" and the worst thing you've read all year. I'm pretty sure you read worse, considering almost 50% of the reviews here are spam and nothing but "kdsjkdlajdjsajdsad" or "9390483208438443"

Do me a favor and quit judging. I'm a human being like every one else who runs into problems and make mistakes. I'm not a critic nor a famous person who rates products.

fl_gators2007 , I think you're a fool too. Come up with something better.

I'm done rating the program, I'm done using this product. It's long gone. it's been a year. You can stop lecturing me how this "isn't my fault" and how should apologize to them meanwhile they didn't even reply to the last 7 emails I emailed them. Before you judge, see how YOU would have reacted to this situation, not insult.

Hess1, your excuse doesn't change anything at all. And blacklisted keys and legal keys are not "different" once they assumed you "shared" it with other people, they will blacklist it no matter WHAT you say. As for the program, it does not even run anymore on my Windows Vista 64-Bit machine only when using it on Windows XP Pro.

Plus everyone else making excuses why I was wrong about this, perhaps you have to be in the situation before you judge someone else for their problems. I bought the box from best buy, I had a hard time choosing from the Kaspersky AV or the Internet Security. Sometimes I wonder if it would've been different if I bought the AV instead, maybe I wouldn't have to be here explaining to people my problem. Either that or you can tell me that Best Buy was the one who decided to give me a bad product key then reseal the box. If any of you here think it's easy to deal with, why don't you toss your address over and I'll mail it to you so you can fix it?

You are at fault not kaspersky, AVG, MS, Apple or any software mfg. OK your going to tell me if I bought McAfee VirusScan Plus in place of Kaspersky Internet Security from the package no less, that the software is not tied to the key (I think the registry yes that's it keep's your key) You typed in the key right? I think your missing why you had two problems & guessing by what you did you said "I bought my version legally, in package and purchased a key" I would have looked it the box there is a key so you bought the wrong key your lucky it worked at all & all way's thinking to try to fix your "blacklisted key" you messed up for the 2ed time & bought a key that did not work with you CD's MD5 # by 1 buying legal or a fake package with keys that should not work with you install disk you failed to see the key to what we all have to do when installing software do what the company you bought it from tells you & for that matter do what I tell you to call Kaspersky I bet you owe them a apology here by the way is what to do "If you want to purchase legal version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus or prolong the license, contact Sales Department by phone (495) 797-87-00" they are there just for you

Blacklisted keys are totally different from legal keys, and it's not Kaspersky's fault. Be careful next time you buy a key, buy it from a good source, not from a crappy discounted market.

If it was me, I will asked the Kaspersky first that why is my key have been blacklisted. And here you are, buying the key for the 2nd time like a fool and use it. Of course you will be blacklist for the second time because maybe the Kaspersky's think that you wanted to try duplicate the keys.

usually, I like your reviews. Was I wrong? This is the dumbest thing I've read here in a year.

  • reply by: fl_gators2007 on February 17, 2008

This is by far your worst review. You are dead wrong. This makes me think you a fool!

is useless. I had the same problems with it ignoring my firewall rules. It was a major pain. I'm glad I only used the trial.
