downloaded the product to test it on my brand new i7 laptop, the installation took some time, I thought that the product will start updating the virus definition automatically-this did not happen, I manually launched the update process-it hanged in 15%. I restarted my laptop, the boot time took long time, well it is the anti-virus trying to get updates, no problem, I opened the console, and it is now 17%. It took two minutes to become 18%, I gave up, stopped it, and uninstalled it.
Summary
May be it is a good product, but, I couldn't stand the slow performance it brought to my PC, and I didn't want to wait forever for the definition to be updated.

just freezes for me half the time. it also makes my whole computer run very very slow. i dont have a cheap computer and the fact that this program makes my computer run like a 200$ computer makes me very angry.
also, why would it take 5 minutes to do a full scan one day, and 3 HOURS THE NEXT DAY?!?!

I downloaded this from Barclays Bank Uk as they offer it free to customers. What a bad suite. It caused computer to turn off after about 1/2 hr and start up again. Microsoft confirmed it is problem with Anti virus as they received an automatic report from me.Also this anti virus slows system down too much for my liking. Reported it all to Kaspersky and asked for them to fix problem in the product. No answer from them at ALL.Bad company.Reported it to Barclays ,guess what they do not care and state we offer it free and it is up to people if they want to use it.What A COPP OUT .I will use a free AVG now for time being.

I have had Kaspersky for 3 years but am going with another product this time. Kaspersky does a good job and I have never been hit (but then I don't go to sites likely to be loaded). I have four beefs about this product.
Cons
1. They don't have enough horsepower for their virus update servers. When it hangs you have to reboot your computer to get the latest update.
2. The last two weeks it performs Chinese water torture on you -- popping up a totally obnoxious nag screen every time you sit down to your keyboard -- even if you walk away for 5 minutes.
3. Their customer care people are rude and impossible to get hold of.
4. If you accidentally buy a transshipped version (i.e. for sale in another country) their update authentication system declares your copy invalid in a few days and you are out of your money unless you call them and raise holy heck. They did because they sell their software real cheap in Asia and they don't want those copies coming back to us rich folks in the U.S. -
