ok, i can understand why a Windblows user needs an antivirus, their software comes from multiple sources, and being the most used computer platform on the planet they're very susceptible to malware, bur as a Linux user i know where all my software comes from and i can look at the programming code unlike the proprietary software counterpart, so i know for a fact that there's no viruses on my computer that are gonna affect my system. the only reason why i'd need an antivirus is to ensure that i don't pass a virus on to a Windblows user, but why should i make sure their computer is virus free? that's their job, not mine. so why should i put pointless software on my computer when all it's gonna do is slow my system down?
