Summary
All the comments telling you not to use this program need to be believed!!!!! It will destroy your Pc's stability and ability to function by hijacking system resources. It has left me with a number of internal errors and programs that are not functioning. I can not even do a system restore!!! WHO EVER UPLOADED THIS IS LAUGHING AT THE AMOUNT OF PROBLEMS THEY HAVE CAUSED!!! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE THIS PROGRAM.

It's a very good antivirus. It can scan virus though in compress file. I like it very much. Trust me! This antivirus is very good. I've tried others like NAV, McAfee, Panda, PC-Cillin, etc, but KAV is still the best !!!

Summary
I had Trend (Which I Loved) and it said it had eliminated two trojans from my system but my cable data light continued to run. Realizing my computer was still infected, I downloaded Mcafee Stinger which found the trojans and deleted them, But my computer continued to run instable and my data light stayed on suggestng that the trojan downloader was still active on my system. Ran Kaspersky, found both trojans, eliminated them for real this time and now my computer is running smooth. Kaspersky is pure genius.

CNET should be ashamed at its appalling ignorance concerning Kaspersky AntiVirus. This Russian Product wins hands down {and I am a loyal Norton-AV user yet I know this}. Its superior detection rate is unmatched by any of the U.S. Vendors {Norton, McAfee, Trend}. It is a real shame that CNET Reviewers have shown such past ignorance, dare I say downright shameless ignorance, concerning this product. KAV has absolutely outstanding detection rate and that {the detection of malware} *should* be the main criteria for judging an AntiVirus product, *not* bells and whistles of a slick GUI and certainly not advertising shazazz. I hope this review doesn't get censored but I feel someone needs to voice public exposure of just how bad and off-base CNET has been in its past reviews of Kaspersky AV products. Let's hope CNET will realize their mistake, and "the worm will turn" to give a fair and accurate review of this very excellent AV product in future comparisons for Editor's Choice and the like. I highly recommend KAV {of any flavor, but particularly KAV 4.5 was very good}. The only slight negative might be the price, KAV is a bit pricey; but other than that, just in terms of technical quality, it can't be beat IMHO .. I mean no unkind criticism of CNET or ZDNET but guys let's get with it in future reviews and be fair to this most excellent Russian product .. thanks! The overall detection rate -- when you include the whole gamut and spectrum of malware {virus, trojan, worm, adware, spyware, droppers, downloaders, exploits, heuristics, etc.} -- is absolutely outstanding and unmatched by any other AV product.

Completely froze my pc after installation. Took 2 days to delete. My computer is still runnig a little slow. Will have to restore my computer after I save some programs.
