  very user friendly,doesnt slow pc- cloud works great

  slow scan time but worth the wait

  "Great detection but goes far to overkill"

  Pros

  Great detection but when I was testing it on small malware it did its weird "Advance disinfection technology" But in the process totally killed my PC! Had to restore.
  
  Though the SAFE RUN is exellent!!!!
  I'm still staying with ESET

  "Stuck in Granny Gear"

  Pros

  I'm not familiar enough with how security software works, but I do know that KIS caught a trojan that's been on my system for several months of McAfee. It's easy to use and I don't feel as if I'm doing something dangerous and potentially breaking the system and losing everything when I tweak the whatnots in the settings menu. It's not in friendly language (I had to look up heuristics, as usual), but it's not in computer tech-ese, either.

  Cons

  Everything slowed down. Waaaay down. I live in the sticks with a DSL line so it's slow enough already. Once I put KIS on my two laptops (Windows 7), I went from a bit laggy to dialup was faster. Since I internet-commute, lack of speed is a deal breaker. I will not puchase software from this vendor again.

  Summary

  Understandable security, but it hobbles the internet speed.

  "Dont ever Buy KIS !"

  couldnt not even instll the program after the first month trial. It crashed my computer midway with a fatal error !

  Couldnt not even install the program after the first month trial. It crashed my computer midway with a fatal error! I should be returning the CD back to the vendor tomorrow.
  Now am not sure if i had lost any valuable files as the result of the crash - gods grace the system started after check sum error and rectification.

  Summary

  ON my first install it said i had to remove the trial version. the second time it crashed midway. the third time it said a folder already existed therefore cannot install. used the removal tool to remove the trial version. then the fourth install it crashed midway. on restating it gave a check sum error but managed to boot. Not sure if i lost any valuable files. Just imagne how many times i had to boot n shut down my system apart from the two crashing.
  Now am happy with trend micro installed.

  "KIS used to be better in earlier incarnations."

  Good level of security when you finally manage get it configured properly.

  Cons

  Not the best firewall for power users, as earlier stated.
  Poor initial control.
  It works, but it's a real 3 aspirin job to sort it out.

  Summary

  unbelievably poor firewall control from a mature product line. They want you to bolt the door after the horse has bolted. When a rogue program initially attempts to call out, you should have more options than 'add to trusted group' or block the app from running altogether. Why is it so difficult to let an app run, but block internet access for it?

  "Pure for Sure"

  Pros

  Great user interface, I found it #1 with Norton IS.
  Scans detects even rare viruses.
  Informs you about everything.(Good for me, some won't like)
  Awesome performance
  Great wall gadget for Windows

  Cons

  Slow scans
  Slow updates
  Sometimes user interface gets too complicated but the home is superb.

  Summary

  The bottom line is that the overall score is good. You can compromise with 10 sec but get the root of virus out. Kaspersky IS 2012 does it but it can be a little faster. I think the updates will fix this problem.

  "The best suite available"

  Great detection rate!
  Very user friendly.
  Not a resource hog as few years ago.
  Very nice user interface.

  Cons

  None that I can think of.

  Summary

  Very good suite, like I said, this is one of the best suites available for now. It's really worth your money, just give it a try before you buy and you will not be dissapointed.
