"The Best Product In It's Class Today"

    March 31, 2014  |   By cowboy_5000

    Version: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 2014

    Pros

Ease of Use, Fully Automated, Very Light on Memory, Transparent to OS...

    Cons

    "ZERO" Cons

    Summary

I've tried them all for years and they ended up more of a hassle to manage, heavy on memory and the advertised outweighed the product. Kaspersky is bullet proof meaning; whatever Trojan, Hicker, spoofer, ghoster or worm I have seen thrown at it is done... This software simply display's after the attempt "dealt with", please continue your work as if nothing happened, no biggy.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014 is some serious stuff and simply does not play!

Buy it and forget about it...

"Run Away From This As Fast As You Can!!!!!"

    March 22, 2014  |   By slytheringirl

    Version: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 2014

    Pros

    NONE WHATSOEVER!

    Cons

IT WILL MESS WITH YOUR MACHINE!!!!!!!!!

    Summary

I initially had the 2013 trial version preinstalled on my VAIO laptop. I had 0 problems so I paid them to continue using it when my trial was up. I then installed this version after receiving an email from Kaspersky telling me of the latest software update. BIG. HUGE. MISTAKE on my part. Ever since updating to the 2014 version, the autoplay for my flash drives REFUSES to work even though Windows 8 has it enabled. There was a way in the previous version to fix that, but NOT in this version! Also now my DVD/CD-RW Drive no longer registers as a dual drive, but as a DVD-RW drive!! I fear I may have to go to Sony and have them reinstall everything. LESSON LEARNED -- KASPERSKY IS A PC KILLER!!

    "simplicity"

    December 6, 2013  |   By the_fork

    Version: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 2014

    Pros

this is the first security that has kept me virus free for 12 consecutive months. let me tell you about installation just for the record:
windows 8.....no issues, conflicts or plug ins not working
windows 7 (64).... 2013 suite was fine, but screen resolution needs to be 100%, if it is more then remote keyboard stutters and has shade behind cursor. 2014,, with ie 10 can be problematic, with ie 11 it works fine, but i advise a full uninstall and re install first, and if you are doing this mid term of you contract, the licence may register as there, but missing, so then remove the licence on kaspersky ui, the red small part at top on licence renewal page, re start, and re insert licence, then all should be fine.

    Cons

2014 has had issues re licence acceptance when installing mid contract. if you have trouble with safe money remote character fields not working there are many fixes, but i found complete re install and removal of licence key can help.

    Summary

the best for two years running, nothing comes close to it when using on slow machines. if you find it is slower on renewal then do a complete re install and remove the licence number as well and use the 30 day trial, then re insert licence when all is running well and not before. Kaspersky take a while, but have always comeback to me to resolve issues.Security is a necessary evil, Kaspersky keeps those evils to a minimum, if you have issues, contact them before trashing this product, you may be surprised at the outcome

    "Best Protection for the Money"

    November 29, 2013  |   By KSFiddler

    Version: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 2014

    Pros

    1. Best Buy Geek Squad recommended it.
    2. Offers protection for 3 machines with one license for one relatively low price.
    3. Automates what I want to be automatic. Doesn't automate what I'd rather do manually.
    4. Have used on 3 computers for 3 years without any viruses.
    5. Causes spittle when I say its name.

    Cons

    1. Startup and shutdown protection causes *painfully* slow startup and shutdown, but I suppose it's being thorough.
    2. Vague instructions for tools and features.
    3. Cannot manually quarantine a file (that I can tell).
    4. Automatic update and scan scheduling isn't as automatic as should be.
    5. Large desktop widget.

    Summary

I would recommend this product for the thrifty, conscientious consumer who desires effective, affordable protection for the small family or office.

"Great Product but still few problems"

    October 5, 2013  |   By asurfergirl777

    Version: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 2014

    Pros

Used KAV for years and works great protecting my computers

    Cons

Although it works great with Mozilla Foxfire not so well with IE. It does not show save web page green K, virtual keyboard or the red K showing KAV protection while using IE. Like I said everything is working on foxfire? Maybe its just a IE problem? KAV 2014 is enabled on my IE but do not think it is working.

    Summary

will use foxfire only till IE solution for safe web pages shows up

    "Excellent antivirus"

    September 28, 2013  |   By weegee2899

    Version: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 2014

    Pros

Good protection, can remove viruses, and fox vulnerabilities.

    Cons

It may have a lot of false positives but still a good antivirus.

    Summary

I recommend that you buy it in a store and not download it here. It may have cnet's installer.

    Updated on Oct 22, 2013

I haven't tried 2014 yet but I'm sure its just as good as 2013.
