It operates similar to Quicken, supports various account types, categorization of expenses, multiple currencies, online banking support via QIF, OFX and HBCI, budgeting and a rich set of reports. It features easy to use personal finance manager, online transaction download, predefined reports / charts, QIF importer to get historic data into KMyMoney, and 160+ pages user documentation.

Very Good Personal Finance software

Pros
- It includes the usual features of various personal finance software. - It offers flexible import/export functions for QIF, OFX, CSV and others. - It includes several reports that can be customized, including budgeting. - Without restriction, it handles several currencies and types of accounts.
Cons
- The credit card account could show some more information related to limit status, etc. - Currency rates can only be updated via online.
Summary
I have used and tested several personal finance software (such as Quicken, MoneyManagerEx, and others) before using KMyMoney. So in using KMyMoney over the past few months, it has not been without previous experience. I have found the KMyMoney software (version 4.7.0) to be very good. It is user friendly, fairly comprehensive, and versatile. It provides a number of standard reports that can be customized with ease. In particular, I wanted more flexibility in budgeting and reporting and I have found it in this free package.
