This is an awesome parental filter that uses very little system resources. It can even block sites that contain spyware and malware, so it even protects your computer. Highly recomended!

Could use more distinct filtering options for chosing the filtering level.

This is a simple yet elegant program that has allowed me to regain control over my PC's, rendering them "teenager proof". My sanity has been restored. No more arguements over the non-stop chatline programs, and music videos, and sports highlights, etc. My teenagers have to actually use the PC's for schoolwork on weeknights, instead of wasting so many hours every night. What a concept !! to the creators of K9 ... you guys are awesome Corporate Citizens, and deserve a medal for allowing frazzled parents like me to install this top notch program on all of my PC's ... for free. Wow. Thanks so much.

Are you kidding ? There are no cons. This is a simple yet powerful program. It does everything it says it does.

Very flexible, very simple to select the categories you want blocked, very easy to use and easy to see your computers internet activity. It is FREE and it does what it says. I have used it for almost a month and it has not once blocked something I didn't want blocked. If you don't want to give K9 your email address, just use a hotmail or similar email address.
Cons
There are no cons to this product. The company is big and commercial and I can only imagine this product getting even better.

If you need to control internet fluxes in your house or in your small business, k9 is the perfect software for you. It does not require any special skill in informatics and is completely interactive and secure. Additionally, it is not so complex like server control programs and commands. Wants more: it is free! Highly recommended.

thers nothing that i really like about this program, yes it does work but the side effects it has on your computer are very harmful, disruptive, and annoying! for example, like someone who is perscribed a medicine to cure one thing but the side effects that it "may" casue are so extreme, why even take the medication. After Installing K9 My computer shuts down, and re-boots its self if i have to many online action, such as clicking various (unblocked) links, or swiching websites. its almost like the program gets over loaded and its unable to block things at the speed i am surfing the web, so it just shuts its self down. Or the program will just kick me right off the web. Now please keep in mind i had non of these problems with my Computer before installing this program. the only way to sum it up, its a medication with way to many deadly side effects.
