Version: JustZIPit 135
Pros: I wanted a simple file compression mainly to send music to friends and after looking around I plumped for justzipit. On the surface it seemed the simplest to use yet I never managed to send a thing so was not much use at all. It has a great 'justzipit and e-mail' function, so I clicked that. You could see it compress and then nothing. No e-mail window opened, nothing saved anywhere. I checked there help and forum sections but nothing. I sent them an e-mail and never got a reply.
Cons: In principle it should work like a charm but does not. I might have been unlucky but it never worked for me.
Check out others before trying this. It does not have an uninstall button amd cannot remove it completely from my computer. Shame the idea was there but not a working programme.

Pros: It's quick beyond belief, and it does the basics extremely well. I have made it my default and activate Winzip on those rare occasions for which I need it. Those are becoming increasingly rare.

Pros: Fast, free, takes up virtually no space. Doesn't hog resources.
Creates folder with same name as original zipped file which makes it easy to find the output.Cons: Can't direct output to a specific folder. HOWEVER its easy enough to move the zip file to where you want the results first. Must unzip entire folder rather than pick and choose as in Winzip. Could be an issue if you have a lot of files in a folder.
Summary: I've been using this for a long time and see virtually no reason to use more complicated products. I recommend this to virutally all my clients. This is a winner. read more
