"It's the best that I have found, by far!"
Version: Judy's TenKey 5.02
Pros
TenKey is very highly configurable, including the ability to run in a completely portable mode, such as from a USB drive. It has a tape that can either be shown or hidden, as well as trigonometry funcions that may also be visible or hidden. The list of user options goes on from there, and if you don't give this beauty a try, you are really missing out on a gem of a calculator.
Cons
None that I have found in the latest version. The only thing I found with earlier versions was that they would not store the settings in the application folder. This has been corrected now to allow the app to run as either local or portable, e.g., it will store it's settings either in the registry OR in an INI file.
Summary
I have tested many Microsoft calculator replacements. This one comes out on top of the list. Try it.

Reinstall on new computers foreverCons
Twenty bucks seems like a lot for a calc app but I moved mine though countless computers since the early ninetys and only had upgrade for use on Windows 64 bit. In the long run a good deal.
Summary
I first bought Judy's TenKey in Windows 3.11 days and it's still one of the first apps I install on a new computer. Money well spent IMHO. If you use a calculator (or adding machine) a lot, then this app is much better than the calc that comes with Windows. The fact that you can get rid of the onscreen keypad and everything except the tape to save desktop space when your using it along with another app is reason enough to buy it. It can remember its position on screen when you reopen it so if you always use it while using another app then it knows it's place and shape without being told every time. You can display only the functions you want, can save/reuse/print/edit tapes. You can stretch its window for long tapes or make it small to stay out of the way and can go back and change or reuse numbers already entered on the tape. Stable, fast, low resource, very fair "move to new computer" policy. This app does everything right.
