Version: Jing 1.6.8198
Pros: One of the best screen recorders I've used to date. Fantastic video and audio quality (captures from both speakers AND the microphone) and a great frame rate to boot.
Cons: You can't export to any format other than SWF, and any attempts to convert the SWF to another format don't work (you only get the thumbnail, not the video itself).

Version: Jing 1.6
Pros: The Jing app has great potential, having bridged the gap between creation and easy publication / accessibility of such creations. The tool offers a variety of publication methods; not just TechSmith's own Screencast.com service.
Cons: The Jing install process states that creation of a Screencast.com account is free and not subject to expiration. However, after creation of the account during the install process, logging directly into the Screencast.com account reveals that it's merely a 60-Day Trial. Very misleading.

"Made my computer slow and would not un-install."
Pros: I liked it at first because it was convenient. But I've got Windows Vista on another computer and wouldn't dare install it there. Vista allows me to drag and drop photos to a web folder and Vista also allows me to do screen captures
Cons: Made my computer slow. Unfortunately it was a business computer. It's going to take me hours to wipe the drive and reload the OS and all my programs. Very upset
Summary: Made my computer slow and would not un-install. read more

Version: Jing 2.1.9181
Pros: A very easy to use software for screen capture and video
Cons: But its not that good we can capture a video only for 5 mins and sometimes it has some memory hog issues and if someone does not have microsoft .net framework 3.0 they need to download that as well... Its good but they need to make it more convenient
