"Maybe it could be OK, if I ever could test it!"
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Pros
Good color, cute premis
Cons
Very primitive graphics. Take me back to the early 90's!
As soon as the game looks like it might be OK, it bounces me out to buy.
I'm not going to pay $30 for something this primitive that I don't get to try! -
"too bad"
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Pros
This could be a great game. As others have said level three craps out skill and brings in the slot machine nature.
In addition the program locks ups and requires a task manager end and program restart.
as before tooooooo bad

"I like it, but now what?"
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Pros
This game is CHALLENGING! At times it was so challenging that it wasn't fun (level 3 especially) but it was still a good buy.
Cons
I didn't like that when I got to the end of the game it was just over. I was hoping there would be some great final puzzle to solve, but there wasn't. And, since beating the game, I can't get into "Replay Any Board" mode. I click on it, and the game crashes. The company was very unhelpful with this. They suggested that I delete that user's files, but that means I would have to start the game all over again. Other than that, I have no complaints with this game. Did anyone else have this problem that could help? Thanks.

"Not worth the money to buy it"
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Pros
I really like Jewel Quest because it's a matching game that takes some effort to play. The puzzles are quite challenging and the "story" line is interesting as well. If you keep trying a puzzle and failing at it, you get to advance to the next puzzle in exchange for a life. And, the really good thing about this game is that even when you run out of lives, you start again at the same place you ended. You lose all your points, but at least you don't have to start the whole game over again. The graphics and the music are also nice. Nothing amazing, though. What's really good is that the trial version is a full version so you can really see what you're getting.
Cons
Okay, here we go. The cons. #1: overpriced for an online game. #2: there are five stages of this game. At the end of each stage, you simply start all the puzzles over again with a "twist." The Stage 2 twist is that a black mask appears, and if you match three of these in a row, they take away your gold spaces. The Stage 3 twist is that spaces turn silver before they turn gold. That's right, they make you do everything twice. This is as far as I have gotten, so I can't wait to see what lame twist stages 4 and 5 have. I thought when they advertised over 180 puzzles, they meant different puzzles. I also do not like the fact that there aren't different levels of play, like beginner, advanced, etc.. There are also no real cheat codes. In the end, this game is overly complicated and unimaginative, considering you have to play the same puzzles five times to win. I would rather play different puzzles than the same puzzles with a "twist." I don't recommend this game to anyone.

"Needs untimed option"
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Pros
Fun to just sit and click which is good for stressed older people. The story is okay, and the art is interesting.
Cons
Really needs to have an untimed option. Not enough time is allowed to complete upper levels. I asked iwin.com about this and they said, rather snottily, that there is no untimed version. I wouldn't recommend this game until they add an untimed option.

"Do yourself a favor...."
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Summary
...Save your money. Dont be fooled by the trial version of this game. It doesn't allow you enough time to see beyond about the third level. After the fourth level, the difficulty level in this game gets greater so quickly that it ceases to be fun to play anymore. I will give away my game if for no other reason than to keep iWin from getting yet another $20 for this worthless game.

"A tragedy"
Version: Jewel Quest 1.206
Summary
This game really upsets me. The music is great. The music and graphics are excellent. The look and feel is exceptional. The story is a little weak but not so much as to encroach upon the overall experience. The BIG problem with this game is that by the third set of levels the game takes a horrible turn. The introduction of relics that need to be "unearthed" takes the premise of the game and flushes it down the toilet into the sewer where it belongs. This was supposed to be a game of skill and foresight......... but far to early on it becomes a game of luck. This game could have been great.. but the developers opted to turn it into a "mayan Slot Machine" instead of a true classic.
