Version: Jetico Personal Firewall 1.0.1.61
Pros: easy on sys.resources, easy to config & very secure....worth the dLo...
Cons: or the impatient, as you are going to spend some time with 1)allow... 2)deny... 3)treat as... Also a little tricky to get it to remember all settings(save before closing)...returns to default-settings after re-boot if not changed!

Version: Jetico Personal Firewall 1.0.1.61
Pros: Jetico is a no nonsense, no adware, no BS bells and whistles crap, powerful firewall.
1. I've put this firewall up against every firewall testing website that I could find and it passed with flying colors.
2. Jetico gives inbound and outbound protection.
Jetico's outbound protection is like having a process and application guard ( which can save you money and time trying to buy this extra protection ), therefore its very effective in stopping and identifying trojans, spyware, etc...
3. Jetico is vastly superior to Windows XP firewall. The Windows XP firewall does not offer outbound protection or allow you to easily identify applications that are connecting to the Internet without your permission.
4. Because Jetico is freeware, its actually a better solution than many payware and shareware firewalls. Jetico gives you what you need and thats inbound and outbound protection.
5. Jetico's firewall rules allow you to configure your computer to be much harder to hack. There is a lot you can do with this.
Before you pay for a firewall with bunch of silly crap that you may not want or get over confident that Windows XP Firewall is really going to protect, you should try Jetico Firewall. Its that good.
Jetico Firewall is what Zone Alarm should have been and its better as a FREE firewall than the free Zone Alarm version and all the unwanted BS and subscription fees.
I actually had to debate with myself about giving it 5 stars or 4 stars. I gave it four stars because I think there is a few thing that could be improved. This free firewall is more like 4.5 stars
Cons: 1. The Jetico user interface takes a bit to get used to. Its not bad, but its a little different from what many may be used. You have to play with it a bit to understand what's going on. But, once you do understand the interface and how to configure the rules, you will be glad you did and there are great benefits.
2. It needs to make the IP Blocklist and "white list" part of the normal user interface as oppose to being part of the configuration wizard. You can go to the configuration wizard anytime to add additional IPs to block or allow, but it seems that it should be another tab in the regular interface.
3. Allow for the importing of Blocklists. There are some great freeware programs called Blocklist Manager, ProtoWall, and PeerGuardian 2.
Blocklist Manager has some nice block list for IPs that you don't trying to access your network and there are various other good Blacklists/Blocklists around the net. It would be a good idea if Jetico would make it easier to import such lists.

Version: Jetico Personal Firewall 1.0.1.61
Pros: Very good for freeware... It's worth it to have some technical knowledge and realise svchost is a process that verifies excuted dlls and processes. IE, it might be somewhat confusing for people like my uncle, but knowing what acceptions to allow, it works like a charm.
Cons: When people like my uncle try to use it.

Version: Jetico Personal Firewall 1.0.1.61
Pros: If you are not a newbie and read jetico help file for an hour you will be rewarded by this little program.I have used zone alarm free, kerio, comodo but this is the best.Zone alarm uses too much resources.Jetico uses only 7792k.Kerio not stable as much as jetico.Comodo I havent tried the last version. But 1 month ago it was using twice as much resources as jetico.Jetico is safe it passes all the leak tests. You can stop it any time.Easy to configure. The next beta version is out and I think it will not be free after december.Be quick to download this program.
Cons: Not for newbies.
