I hate it when people write reviews and don't tell us the reasons for the poor review. What features were you trying to use that it would not let you? That would be very helpful.
Without an explanation I wonder if you were actually using the program as it was meant to be used in the free version because I've been using the free version of JetAudio since version 5.0, unless things have changed in the 7.0 version, I have never encountered a problem other than certain conversion codecs can not be used in the free version, which I would assume is your quibble. Maybe before downloading you should investigate the program more by going to the company's website before downloading. If you download from CowonAmerica's website they tell you just before you download that the free version works, and have a link to a list of what bells and whistles won't work.
But, as an all-in-one media player that plays many different file formats with the added bonus of CD ripping and burning functions the free version has worked for me. It plays, it rips, it converts and it burns.

Thanks for the warning! I just downloaded another "free" program with the same situation, spent half an hour trying to figure out what features work on the demo version before I realized it's basically useless. This time I won't even bother!
CNet editors and software providers should make it clear which features (if any) come with the demo version and which do not.
