Instead of buying the full program, you can buy bits and parts of it, like for say to fully convert the audio from a wma to a mp3.
A video format(.flv to .WMA)(example of formats)
The Equalizer for the free version, is much better and more expandable than the pay version of RealPlayer. The paid version or that audio part to buy for the free version is more expandable for the music or when watching a movie.

Record restricted to 10 seconds!! ((STUPID))
I needed to simply record a rather long voice mail & the standard windows app only goes up to 60 seconds that I have.
I've emailed Cnet about misleading statements relating to applications functions but it would seem they haven't taken much notice of my comments even though I did get a reply from them some time ago.
If a function is restricted then a new class of application needs to be added. It should clearly state what restrictions are in place.Summary
If you want to record through a MIC at least forget it as the 10 seconds limit means this app is a joke and waste of time.
I wouldn't even give this .5 * rating if possible. Very misleading as no mention of the restriction. -

I downloaded this so I could compare the FLAC format to MP3. The encoding part of this program is excellent, although it doesn't support MP3, which seems weird to me. An AAC codec was required to play FLV movies, but the player produced a handy link to download one!

Although not reported elsewhere, audio codecs are probably required, since no sound was available on the initial install. Another annoyance is the Ask toolbar option (at least you have a choice). Product naming seems to be a problem, I selected Jetaudio, yet the desktop link is called Cowon Media Center, so, which is it?
Summary
After installation on Windows Vista, a number of different video formats were tried, but an audio error was reported and no sound was available. Assuming this to be a install or download error, the program was downloaded and installed a second time, but the results were the same. Removed software and residual files. Although the name Jetaudio seems inviting and appropriate to the function, Cowon Media Center sounds like a bovine hifi app.

No Instruction - or I just didn't see it. It's bulky, un-attractive and I didn't like the UI.

Personally I didn't like it plus I think there are better media players around and have no idea how this became the top-spot. Bizarre.
