During installation, you have to be careful if you don't want to set JetAudio Basic as the default application for audio and video files. However, the freeware application gives you plenty of reasons to make it your only player.
The interface has a modern design that looks like an equalizer. You can customize each section of the program, from CD ripping to format conversion, to your heart's content. The program can convert files among some a number of formats, as well as read and edit MP3 tags. The built-in Cross-fader, Reverb, and Wide-sound modes provide a nice touch not found in most MP3 players. The program becomes truly unique with its clock, however, which features a timer and an alarm. We also appreciate the inclusion of a tool for seeking out song lyrics.
Our only quibble is it treats a playlist as an album but uses the artist as its primary key field, making it difficult to locate mixes. JetAudio Basic's appealing product set should attract audiophiles.

JetAudio plays most major file formats and various video or audio tracks. You can even convert audio files to various formats. A special feature is Video conversion which can make video files compatible for your portable devices such as iPOD or PSP. Other features include: sound effects (Wide, Reverb, and X-Bass), multichannel sound output, speed control for audio playback, cross-fading, skin changes, and synchronized lyric display for MIDI and MP3s.
What's new in this version:
Version 7.5.5 fixes mouse wheel for full-screen video playback and OGG streaming for some URL.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
Pros: No redeeming qualities at all.
Cons: I do not like the changes made at all.
Summary: They seem to have gone to alot of trouble to make this look like Windows Media Player and Real Player. If those were what I wanted, I'd have used them to begin with. I uninstalled this and reinstalled my old Jet Audio.

Pros: Excellent player and customization.This program is clean.No malware.I´m running Comodo firewall,avast5!,Iobit 360,ThreatFire,MalwareBytes and SpyBot.It´s clean and its connections are clean.
Cons: Some features are for the paid version,but the basic ones are free and full.
Summary: The best I´ve seen so far.The sound is incredible.....

"Unable to use because "recording level" does not work."
Pros: Enjoyed using it in past to convert songs and cull selections from online radio shows.
Cons: As mentioned, above I have installed it and re-installed it with the same results. So, I have been unable to use it.

"Free with handicapped features"
Pros: Nice interface and looked very user friendly
Cons: Ad supported, can only convert first 30 seconds of song.
