During installation, you have to be careful if you don't want to set JetAudio Basic as the default application for audio and video files. However, the freeware application gives you plenty of reasons to make it your only player. The interface has a modern design that looks like an equalizer. You can customize each section of the program, from CD ripping to format conversion, to your heart's content. The program can convert files among some 10 formats, as well as read and edit MP3 tags. The built-in Cross-fader, Reverb, and Wide-sound modes provide a nice touch not found in most MP3 players. The program becomes truly unique with its clock, however, which features a timer and an alarm. We also appreciate the inclusion of a tool for seeking out song lyrics. Our only quibble is it treats a playlist as an album but uses the artist as its primary key field, making it difficult to locate mixes. Not only does it play various music and video files, it also has features such as CD burning, recording, and conversion to other file formats. You can create your own Internet broadcast by using JetCast, provided with JetAudio, and you can play all major file formats, including WAV, MP3, MP3Pro, OGG, WMA, MPEG, AVI, WMV, MIDI, RM, and video and audio CD tracks. Convert among audio file formats, and record analog audio to various formats. The program features visualization plug-ins, including Sound2Vision; tag editing for MP3, OGG, and WMA files; sound effects including wide, reverb, and x-bass; multichannel sound output; speed control of audio playback; cross-fading for a smooth transition between two songs; a skinnable user interface; and synchronized lyrics display (karaoke) for MIDI and MP3 files.
Version 6.2.2.6826 adds 1Mbps, 1.5Mbps bit-rate options for PSP format encoding and fixes minor bugs.

Version: JetAudio Basic 6.2.2.6826
Pros: Has more features than Winamp(but not as many skins),three times better than Real Player(no anoying ads),better than WMP(will play AVI),and fantastic visuals including free downloads of WhiteCap and G-Force. It also features a built in clock.
Cons: Wish it supported DFX.

just download and see how you fall in love with it

Pros: It looks good, works easily, nice to have ripping in a free program (probably more in the pro version).
Cons: It will only play MP3s as Webcast; does not recognize my MP3 CD in my CD-ROM drive or play the files.

"Best music player out there!"
Pros: I have used MusicMatch for 2 years now and was having lots of problems with it. Then I discovered JetAudio on your site and downloaded it, I think it is brill, even the first time I burned a cd it was easy. I cannot recommend this enough. Ditch MM and get this, you wo'nt regret it!
