During installation, you have to be careful if you don't want to set JetAudio Basic as the default application for audio and video files. However, the freeware gives you plenty of reasons to make it your only player. The interface has a modern design that looks like an equalizer. You can customize each section of the program, from the CD ripping to the format conversion, to your heart's content. The program can convert files among some 10 formats, as well as read and edit MP3 tags. The built-in Cross-fader, Reverb, and Wide-sound modes provide a nice touch not found in most MP3 players. The program becomes truly unique with its clock, however, which features a timer and an alarm. We also appreciate the inclusion of a tool for seeking out song lyrics. Our only quibble is that it treats a playlist as an album but uses the artist as its primary key field, making it difficult to locate mixes. This product is "awesome",I'm seriously considering uninstalling my Windows Media Player 10 with about $80.00 worth of pathetic plugins in favour of this little gem thats laden with features.Once again a product comes out that is superior to Microsofts rubbish thats full of flaws and holes that im sure they create on purpose to keep possible revenue sources/options open.Thanks Jet Audio.

It is full of easy-to-use features. Sounds great, looks great, feels great. Installed flawlessly. Works flawlessly. EQ, filters, etc. tons of features for audio listening pleasure. Video player works great. I really like the mouse shortcuts to adjust volume, select track, etc. It has a cool tool bar mode which sets itself at the bottom of your screen which makes it real handy. It also ghosts info about the next track at the top of the screen for 3 seconds or however long you set it for in preferences. Well thought out product.

its to big, when i open videos the sound dosent work? so many buttons makes it all confusing! overall ive gone back to the more basic winamp! i shouldnt have swapped in the first place but always good to try something dfferent

jetAudio is a fantastic media player in may respects - able to play virtually any file type you could attempt to open in it, jetAudio is a free program with a lot of punch. Completely free of adverts and spyware, jetAudio is excellent because it requires few system resources to run, meaning playback is not interfered with by other programs running, and vice-versa. With an excellent range of features to put it way above alternatives such as WMP, Real and MusicMatch Jukebox, jetAudio is a program I would recommend to anyone seeking a better alternative to the norm.
Cons
Albums are complicated to arrange, and a few buttons do not work due to 'Basic' not being 'Plus'.

I'm not sure who this was dissigned for.... probably thse with a deal of computer savvy .... I can't even fiqure out how to create, save, or modify a playlist .... certainly not with the playlist button as one would assume

you cannot build a play list. it does not allow for all of the functions I have come to expect from other basic players. even the internet radio function does not work well.
