Version: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4
"Oversized and annoying."
Pros: Plug-In, runs certain objects and programs.
Cons: This plugin is not only annoying, but big for a browser plugin and annoying. It is oversized, and thankfully, not many sites require this plugin to work otherwise I probably won't even go online. Java is about 100MB or more in size, hangs in the background causing system instability, constantly running whether you like it or not, and is just plain annoying. Yes it could be useful for running some games and some tools or objects, but I rather stay away from this. I wish OpenOffice and LimeWire didn't require Java to run. I don't use neither programs BECAUSE it requires Java.
