"Hate it because its Java based..."

    May 28, 2012  |   By Gawlron

Fast, small, integrates well into environment.

Crashes often, it's look for a specific JRE - which is why Java sucks.

Get a real Window binary file, written and compiled to run by itself, not JIT - JIT is a bad idea... If you don't know what JIT is, don't reply on my comment.

    It's called "J"-downloader for a reason.

I'm pretty sure it being written in Java is part of the design goals for this program, most likely to make it easy to transfer to anything that runs Java.

If you want a windows binary, write your own? I think a rating of 1 is unfair simply because you are having problems with Java. Your rating seems to reflect your criticism of the Java platform, not this software.
