"Good... but not great"
Version: JDiskReport 1.2.1
Pros
The program does what it says... I thought running off Java would have made it slower but it didn't. I like how the program uses pie charts to show disk usage. The program is free, which is always great.
Cons
I don't really have any cons. For a long time I have been using WinDirStat (sourceforge). These two programs do the same thing but I prefer WinDirStat because it shows a graphical representation of my hard drive and I can easily identify the large files and areas. I guess once your used to using something for so long, you're critical of others that come along.

"not just a pretty face"
Version: JDiskReport 1.2.1
Pros
this is little program is well worth downloading. It does a very nice job of a boring activity..file management. It doesn't come with whistles and bells, it's rather basic but functional, its very useful for finding large and redundant files and folders. Although it doesnt identify them it does display information regarding the allocation of disk space so well that it assists this boring chore of freeing disk space. there are other programs which do more but few do it with the elegance of this one. The colouful pie charts are it's best feature, it's atractive right from the desktop icon to the last pie chart and even if you don't use it for disc management it's worth downloading if only for the desktop icon.
Cons
not much really, it's a simple useful tool that is free, it can't make coffee, web sites or browse but then it doesn't nag you, or constantly propmt at start up to register nor does it fill your harddrive with spyware . So no cons at all.. just a good simple program that's free..

Relies on Java, and can't delete files directly (you must do it through Explorer).

"Recommended"
Version: JDiskReport 1.2.1
Pros
Just takes a few seconds to download, and install. Scans everything even obsolete files are shown. No problems, the interface is well designed. I like color-sorted pie charts and graphs rather than just numbers, I found a few things that were just eating up my diskspace with this. excellent

"pathetic"
Version: JDiskReport 1.2.1
Pros
none. Doesn't deserve 1 star...
Cons
Will scan only from the desktop folder up. All the important folders are inaccessible. Not even worth the download space.

"Simple and clean"
Version: JDiskReport 1.2.1
Pros
You can't even tell it's written in Java. It's really fast and has a clean interface. It took less than two minutes to scan 163GB (120,184 files). Then I closed the app, re-opened it, and scanned the same drive again and it only took ten seconds! You can save scans as well.
Cons
None. Works as advertised.
