Ironpants is a game that involves tapping the screen to keep your character in the air and away from obstacles that could knock him down. Fly through as many openings as you can to earn points and rack up your score. Then, submit your best total to see how you stack up against all other players.
This app has a pretty straightforward interface, with options for playing, viewing the leaderboard, following Ironpants on Facebook, and rating the app from the main menu screen. When you hit play, you'll see the little masked hero of the game hovering in space with a finger icon showing you to hold down on the screen to make the character go up. As soon as you tap the screen, you're in control of Ironpants, and you'll have to tap the screen to keep him in the air. As obstacles appear, your job is to guide him through the opening in them, which will be at a different level each time. You gain a point for each obstacle you pass through, and your turn is over when you hit one, or if you hit the ground.
This game is fun to play and hard to master, and you'll probably find yourself losing track of time as you try to get a better and better score. There are ads that pop up from time to time in this free app, and there's no option to remove them, but they're not too intrusive. And when you get a score you're particularly proud of, you can Tweet it or submit it to appear on the game's master leaderboard. If you're a fan of these types of games, this is a good one to try out.
