Version: Ipswitch WS_FTP Home 12
"Software ok but the Company sucks"
Pros: The software works ok
Cons: The company that sells the product is extremly bad to do bussines with. Imposters actually
Summary: I payed twice for the 2007 version. When I changed computer they just denided that I had bought the product. So I had to pay once again. Now when I tried to update they just took the money and gave me nothing. I might have done something wrong but its impossible to find out because they are impossible to get in contact with.
Don't buy anything from these imposters!
I found better products for free on the net so I will never have anything to do with these people again.
Updated on May 11, 2009Swindlers should be a moore accurate word than imposters I have been told...:)

Hello,
I'm sorry to hear you had some licensing issues with the 2007 release. Licensing and licensing procedures (including machine-to-machine migration) were significantly revamped in the past two years and are now reflected in the v12.x versions of WS_FTP Home and WS_FTP Professional.
One of the more visible enhancements in that period is the "MyIpswitch" web site that allows you to activate/deactivate any of the licenses in your library using a web browser at any time for any reason. In your circumstance today your original purchase would have registered in MyIpswitch and your installation on the first machine would have consumed that purchase's single activation. During migration, you would use MyIpswitch to turn off the license on your old computer and turn it on on the new one. If you encountered problems with this, our live customer service/support agents would still stand ready to assist by phone or email.
Regards,
- Jonathan Lampe, VP R&D, Ipswitch File Transfer
