Hard drive not working now
Windows 10, after installing this, wont work. after restarting windows, I get "inaccessible_boot_device". Not good.
Crashed my machine
I needed a driver for an older Iomega portable hard drive, and tried to download this to my PC. It will not reboot now. I am getting the dreaded "inaccessible_boot_device" when I restart.
I could find no Pros since this driver does not work in Windows Vista.
I downloaded this several times, after deleting the previous driver each time, and Vista continues to give me an uncipherable error message.
This driver doesn't work in Vista. It appears that Iomega only supported this 2-year old stnadalone hard drive through the Windows XP operating system. I do not consider that sufficient support for a product.
Installation of IomegaWare replaces the Windows 98 copy program for both zip disks and ordinary floppy disks. The program seems to work find with zip disks and a substitute for the Windows 98 program is required for copying zip disks. It often fails for floppy disks.
For one pair of floppy disks, IomegaWare copied source disk back on the source disk. The program did not stop with instruction to replace source disk with target disk. I scanned both disk and they were fine; I even changed the lable of the target disk.
Another time, the program would not accept a particular floppy disk as a target disk. The window with title "Target Disk" and instructions similar to "Insert disk to which you wish to copy" kept reappearing. I later determined that the proposed target disk had some bad sectors. The behavior would have been fine, it fact very good, if a window appears stating something similar to "Why do you wish to copy to this disk fo'? It contains bad sectors."

Since installing this software, I occasionally get this copying bug where files that I try to copy don't copy. This also applies to files I'm not even copying from or to a ZIP disk. When I uninstall the software, the problem is gone.
