Version: Internet Explorer 8
"If your runnin' Vista SP2.. this IS the best browser."
Pros: Intergrated helpful accelrators, Great pop-up block and great speed.
Cons: Resource hungry, recommend to install Spybot and Spyware Blaster for immunization for blocking bad url's and malware.
Summary: I've been reading the other reviews for fun since IE8 came out on this site. Seems the reviews by users mostly are very bad.
IE has very useful features if looked into properly and lets face it.. 99.9% of all websites are fully compatitable with IE8-- except the Acid 2-3 tests which IE does fail miserably.
I have NEVER had a crash yet with IE8 unlike most reviews on here. I also have FF3.5/Opera 10.10/Google Chrome 3.0 on my system. Those are just for having an "optional" browser to use if I want to use them.
As a whole, none mentioned are as fast as IE8 on my machine (except maybe Chrome-- and it's slight). No-- I am no MS fanboy :) I use Linux (Fedora 11) and OSX Leopard too so I'm no biased person against MS. All OS'es have there pluses and minuses.
Maybe the users' trouble with IE8 is within thier MS OS. It's possible that there either screwed with ad/spy/malware and/or some bad registry issues. My advice is reinstall the MS OS if its XP, Vista or W7 or earlier (2000 pro).
Maybe I'm just too techinical about how the OS'es work :)
Try IE8.. you can always go back to IE7 there's a way to do this google Microsoft TechNet site.
