Internet Explorer 7 looks great with no problems at all!

Pros: With all of this "browser-bashing" over the problems regarding Internet Explorer and Firefox, it works great on this computer that I'm using without any problems at all. I installed it on the other computer and it didn't have any problems at all either.
Internet Explorer 7 features a redesigned interface and tab browsing so that you don't have you open a new internet browsing window. You can also use quick tabbing to see what is there on multiple webpages that you found too. IE7 also has anti-phishing filtering, higher security levels, the Security Status bar and IE's add-on disabled mode.
IE7 also features the new Instant Search box, an easier way to delete cookies, temporary files, webpage history, saved passwords and form information. You can now click on the Favourites star button in order to open the Favourites Centre and manage favourites, feeds and your browsing history...all in one place. You can now read and subscribe to RSS, XML feeds or other syndicated content too.
Most importantly, you have to keep Internet Explorer up to date by going to the Windows Update for security and bug fixes. Now that IE7 is out, support for Internet Explorer 6 will end soon.
Oh...and one more thing, Microsoft Java VM will *still* work with IE7 if you have Windows XP SP2 and that you upgraded from Windows XP Service Pack 1.
The installation size is 14.8 MB for a typical download on XP SP2 and it should take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes (possibly less) in order for it to install successfully.
In conclusion, IE7 is the first major internet browser in more than five years and it's a major improvement from the previous versions of IE.
Cons: After installing IE7, you have to fix your security settings before you can browse the internet. As a recommendation, in order for IE7 installation to be successful, you have clear out your cookies, temporary files, close all running programmes in the background and disable your antivirus programme.
I also know for a fact that very few websites and programmes won't work with IE7 as they're not up to date or that they're no longer updated. In Trillian 3.1 Basic Build 121, checking for your mail or clicking on the URL link from messaging services (Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ or MSN Messenger) won't work until they provide a fix for this problem.
One problem is that you cannot move the toolbars up and down as you used to in previous versions of IE, but other than that, people should live with that until Microsoft provides security updates and bug fixes on the 14th of next month.

Being completely unable to uninstall or use IE7 made it that i had to take such extreme action as reformatting my harddrive.
I agree with alot of what you said, there will be updates and bug fixes, there always is. When the time comes i will probably have to switch to IE7 but for now im happy to use other programs for browsing and IE6sp2 for updates. All I did in my review was note my experince and how i ended up having to handle it, and based on this experience made my recommendation to avoid IE7, if possible i would like to be able to make this a permenant solution but i accept the time will come when myself and others will have to make the switch.

So far you're just a minority. As for the browser bashing; there is more than enough reason for it. PC's are crashing right and left by using this junk. And don't give us that garbage about...well....you have to start with a clean....yada...yada...yada. If it was worth a $hit, no one would have to do that krap. Get real.
And one other thing...you're post looks like you plagiarized it right off the microsoft website. How convenient.

First of all tankerdog2002, there was seriously no need for you to be arrogant and talk trash about this post even if you had a right to do so. I have used Internet Explorer 7 for more than two years now and it worked really well and stability for the internet browser has improved dramatically ever since it was first released. I recently switched to Firefox for almost two years and it worked much better than IE. Good day. ...and I can't wait for Internet Explorer 8 to be out later this year.
