    "The WORST !!!"

    September 3, 2012  |   By bmallek540

    Version: Internet Explorer 9

    Pros

Every once and a while it works

    Cons

You name it. Freezing, hang-ups, error messages. ETC.

    Summary

I am using the most recent updates and still have the same problems. When will MS get some competent people that can make IE a viable product.

    August 30, 2012  |   By VirusSupport

Oh and don't forget the pin it option.

    Cons

It has very little HTML 5 compatibility, not a lot of add ons, and it slower than some other browsers.

    Summary

Its good but not the best the only way to try out us to try it.

"Very good browser...but IE8 is better for laptops."

    August 24, 2012  |   By salesalex

    Version: Internet Explorer 9

    Pros

--It is lighter than Chrome and Mozilla while I watch HD(1080) videos on YouTube or play games on Facebook .
--I had figured that by opening task manager ,then set the option ''always on top'' ,and compared CPU usage by opening the same sites in Chrome , Mozilla and IE9 (off course not in the same time) .
--For example when I watch 1080 video in IE-my CPU does not go above 10% - unlike chrome which makes CPU to go to 20% and more for the same video ,Mozilla is lighter than chrome but still above 15% for the same video.
--When it's about games situation is similar.
--I didn't compared opera and safari simply because I do not see them like browsers, they are more like wasted junk.

    Cons

1.Command bar in IE9 (which can be manually customized like in IE8) should have been left on the same place like in IE8 because every laptop has the lack of vertical space and therefore IE9 is much better for desktop computers than laptops (THERE IS A FAST OPTION FOR FULL SCREEN)
2.There is no option for changing the download folder.

    Summary

    1. IE9 is fast and low in resources just like IE8 if you do not have thousands idiotic add-ons and tool-bars ''glued'' with it -you do not need ANY of them because they make INTERNET EXPLORER SUPER SLOW and the only one person who is quilt for that is YOU .
    2. Just uninstall those tool-bars and RESET Internet explorer by opening INTERNET OPTIONS and follow the instructions on the RIGHT BUTTON (advanced) .

"I get "Internet Explorer has stopped working" often."

    August 20, 2012  |   By tembuktwo

    Version: Internet Explorer 9

    Pros

Looks good mainly because of smoke and mirrors.

    Cons

The dreaded window "Internet Explorer has stopped working" pops up about two of every three start-ups.

    Summary

    Google Chrome works much better.

    "Don't buy into the hype!"

    August 20, 2012  |   By JumpinJack002

    Version: Internet Explorer 9

    Pros

If you like IE (or are gay for MS), you'll like this one.

    Cons

SLOW! Then they insult my intelligence by saying it's the fastest ever. BS! It's slow, slower, slowest!

One more thing, did I mention just how slow this browser is?

    Summary

I don't know what browser CNET was testing, but on my computer, it is much slower than Firefox of Chrome.

    Updated on Aug 20, 2012

I have a 21st century machine and everything he said is correct. All you could do is bad-mouth the OP.

    Pros

    LOOKS GOOD BUT THATS IT.

    Cons

    Summary

IF YOU LIKE A BROWSER THAT CRASHES OFTEN AND IS SLOW AS PREVIOUS VERSIONS. THEN THIS IS FOR YOU. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY MICROSOFT THE MAKER OF THE WORLDS MOST POPULAR OS IN THE WORLD CANNOT MAKE A DECENT BROWSER THAT IS SMOOTH AND SECURE???

    "High Hopes - Poor delivery"

    July 5, 2012  |   By Sterlingmichaels

    Version: Internet Explorer 9

    Pros

Looks Nice - Lots of Hype and Promise........

    Cons

Cannot back up what they promise

This looked VERY promising when I downloaded the new version and starting using it and especially since some of my sites that I visit and one that I build my websites are "Optimized" for Explorer - you would think that I am at an advantage.

Totally opposite the experience. I am an advanced user and have actually created online businesses but Microsoft and its tools have always faithfully let me down.

I am even trying out a Beta version of Windows 8 (Was hoping that the Explorer problem that I was having with Windows 7 would be alleviated but it does not function.

Even the cool layout of the Windows 8 LOOKS great and is obviously set up to be nearly identical to their OS that runs on their Nokia Mobile phone but when it comes to Execution, stability and operation - they still get it wrong.

Imagine not being able to shut off your computer from the "Start" menu and taking 30 minutes to search for

    Summary

The browser goes into a crazy crash loop and then you have to restart it and when I had uninstalled it and reinstalled it - it would not show up in the programs list or a search which is like a childish tantrum and it is NOT dll codes nor anything on the proper installation side.

It seems when I "Allow" the MS programs and OS to "Perform what is best" for itself - it inevitably crashes and burns.

Help tools are totally hit and miss and waste far too much time troubleshooting itself and should be better constructed.

How can the largest software company in the world continue to be so poor at execution?

Even when I have worked for companies that have full MS technical support - TOO much time is spent with system operation problems.

Conclusion - I highly suggest that Microsoft reverse engineer Apple's OS and its Safari Browser and learn what it takes make great products that are also reliable.

Over the past 18 years I have spent over 1,000 hours with troubleshooting Microsoft OS and its products and in the last 15 years since discovering Apple I have spent less than 2 hours troubleshooting.

And just so you know - I am writing this on 2011 HP Pavillion Series with updates, and all of the accoutrements needed to keep running at optimum performance and I always look at what I am doing wrong before I start placing blame and sadly the issues that I write about here are things that Microsoft should have addressed long ago and not put so much focus on selling new versions and Customer Service contracts.

I do not think that Microsoft EVER started out a new OS or a new browser totally from scratch and they are suffering the same fate as General Motors and will soon be irrelevant if they do not step up and get their "Performance and Reliability Corrected.

My advice? THINK DIFFERENT - then Take Action.

    "Really Impressed"

    June 24, 2012  |   By rf1571

    Version: Internet Explorer 9

    Pros

    Really Fast, Easy to configure.

    Cons

    Haven't found anything yet

    Summary

I'm not sure why some people think its slow and not a good browser. I really think some people hate MS so much it doesn't matter what they put out. It could be the fsstest best looking and they still would hate it. I just want a browser that works and I dont care who makes it. I used to be a firefox user then Chrome. I like them both. But My main Browser Will be IE9 64bit
