    "Internet Explorer 8"

    March 19, 2009  |   By spectator1

    Version: Internet Explorer 8

    Pros

I am still a user twenty years plus.

    Cons

I don't like the fact that it is not D L SERVICES INC product.

    Summary

The competitive advantage should be clear then and now that Microsoft?s positional advantages is still not mathced. Microsoft?s competitiveness has position Microsoft
As a MNE that creates opportunities for SME?s. We are still promoting The Microsoft Store at http://dlservicesincservices.com

"WRT accelerators, I recommend Cleeki, a better solution"

    March 19, 2009  |   By muthos

    Version: Internet Explorer 8

    Pros

    1. Faster than its ancestors.
    2. Respect and comply more the W3C standard. A good move.

    Cons

    1. IE8?s add-on system is still not comparable to that of Firefox. It's web era, why still .exe and .dll, but not javascript?

    2. IE's accelerator is almost a place to promote MSFT's own products. Also it has too many restrictions on users.

    Summary

The button "compatibility view" reflects the fact that the whole web has been kidnapped by MS's private will for a long time.

WRT accelerators, I recommend Cleeki, a neater, easier, and more efficient solution. It works for IE, Firefox, and even your desktop. Check it out at:

    "Microsoft finally gets it right"

    March 19, 2009  |   By rpb502

    Version: Internet Explorer 8

    Pros

    Significantly faster then IE 7
Address bar displays Favorites, History, and Recent Sites.
    New security features

    Cons

    Still not skinnable
Little to no support for addons
    Interface outdated

    Summary

IE 8 is superior to previous versions, but still pales in comparison to Firefox 3.
