"Love the new features! Must install for all."

Pros
Love the new colored tab experience. Web slices rocks too. Haven't had any crahes, like many of the posts indicates.
Cons
Some sites load slower in IE than it does in some other browsers that I use. However, some other sites load slower in those other browser yet loads faster in IE 8.

Extremely Slow, tooks almost 30 secs to open n load page on vosta with 3gb ram n 2.1ghz processor! Crashes frequently on so many sites! takes almost6-7 secs to open a tab!

"It's Better! But It crashes on certain sites."

It's faster and I like some of the new features. It lets you customize it to your likings. And it's more informative.
Cons
It crashes on some of my favorite sites and tries again to connect to the site a couple of times and just keeps crashing and then finally gives up. It's irritating.
Summary
I like it, but I will not use it until they fix the crashing and its hang-ups.

In recent months began to expierence issues with IE7 so I installed IE8 Its much improved - menu bars a bit different, much faster, features the average PC user needs, better security, extras for advanced users. Totally reccomend to all IE users.

The menu bars area needs to be a bit slimmer however this is minor and gives your room for adding custom links and some of the great new add on features so not a complete con

I have spent the last 2 days and a total of 14 hours with MS tech support to resolve the problems that were caused by doing nothing more than downloading IE8

I installed ie8 3 times and every time when i re-booted, error messages popped up. I ended up recovering my system to get rid of ie8.

This download fixed some problems, such as being unable to copy text or print in programs that use the explorer shell. I don't doubt that it's more secure than previous versions, and I would totally advise anyone who has IE to upgrade to this.
Cons
Some sites force you to use IE. Other than that, don't use it, but when you do, put something like SlimBrowser or Avant on it. It makes it much more pleasant.
Summary
I like this mainly to have on my computer, because it fixed some issues caused by previous versions that affected other programs. I was able to download it without ruining my system with MS updates. It is pretty much a given that you have to have IE on a Windows computer, and this absolutely seems like the best version to have. The only problem I've had since downloading it is that explorer.exe uses considerably more memory (not running IE), and this makes me suspect that this version could be the cause of that.

Everything I loved about the tab browsing features are still here, and everything I loved about the speed and security of IE 6 is back. Everything I hated about IE 7's irritating sluggishness is gone.
Cons
Nothing! I love it.

I like that it gives you total control over your browsing history and other things I am still experimenting with.

Uses for memory than before.

it will remain popular as Microsoft will push this compulsory update to Windows computers. Stand up against the big M - Don't download it.
Slow, and freezes like crazy. Mozilla Firefox is much better.
