"IE makes me want to vomit."
Pros
You must be joking, right?
I gave it one star only because giving it zero isn't an option.
Cons
Where should I start?
IE nearly ruined my computer. I lived in student housing on a college campus, and got hacked so many times it wasn't even funny. Asked a friend of mine who was a computer science major what the problem might be. He looked all over and through my computer, and determined that IE had holes, and that was where the problem was coming from. I did a clean install, then downloaded Opera, and guess what? No problems after that. When I got my new laptop, I opened IE ONLY to go to Opera's website and download it. IE now sits at the far back of my computer, collecting dust.
Microsoft should be ashamed.
What kills me are the people on here saying, "I've never used anything BUT IE, and I've never had a problem", or "I'm going to STAND BY Internet Explorer."
Tell me-what about a browser inspires loyalty? I have no loyalty to Opera-if a browser came out that was faster and safer, I'd switch to it immediately. I get the impression that these IE defenders are mostly middle-aged computer novices who have no idea about registry keys, trojan horses, and worms. Do us a favor, guys, and come back when you have a little more computer knowledge than, "Yippee, I took my computer out of the box ALL BY MYSELF and didn't even have to call tech support or my computer savvy teenager!"
