Version: Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1

    "Insecure Explorer"

by Mrsone on April 24, 2005

Pros: Can use to download information from Windows Update. Thanks to monopolizing the web, some pages will only display in IE. Easy to use because there are no good features.

Cons: Horribly slow. No tabs. No skins, unless you download Hotbar, and expose your computer to spyware (when you aren't exposing it enough by running the browser anyway). No pop-up blocking unless you download third-party toolbars with it integrated, and that means more spyware. Get Firefox or Opera instead.

    "What's changed?"

by RandomTask on September 5, 2005

    Pros: Blocks SOME popups.

Cons: Still just as vulnerable to spyware and many pop-ups. Still just as behind every other browser for featues and useability. Still a massive download for so little content. Still tortures standards. Still just as heavily integrated into Windows as always. I still must install Spybot and Ad-Aware wherever I go where people cannot use Firefox.

    "Insecure browser, slow browser."

by Trojan cow on July 31, 2006

Pros: It has ActiveX controls, opens special links that this browser can only access.

Cons: Horribly slow, lacks security(this browser makes you a target for malwares), crashes moderately, can't be customized like Firefox.
