Publisher's description of Internet Explorer 4.01 SP2 Scriptlet Rendering Vulnerability Patch

From Microsoft:

This update resolves the "Scriptlet Rendering" and "Frame Domain Verification" security vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer. Download now to help prevent malicious Web site operators from reading your files when you visit their sites. These vulnerabilities do not give a malicious user the ability to add, change, or delete files on your computer. The malicious web site operators must know or guess the exact name and path of each file they want to view. Even then, the only files that can be opened and viewed in a browser window are .txt or .doc files, but not .exe or .dat files.
