I am always suffering from slow internet connection, power problems and many more. Many times I was not able to complete the download of some big files, I tried its trial version for one month and I really got impressed. IDM is by far the best and probably the fastest downloader I ever tried. IDM is the one of Internet Downloader that integrates with the most of the browser in the market seamlessly. Also it has NO malware, spyware, adware, viruses, Trojans and such... I have used the trial version of this software so I hope I can get the license for this excellent software somehow.

None, used to be legitimate software.
Cons
1. Already had this installed for a long time, and somehow it degenerated into a virus. 2. Just downloaded it from here, scanned the odd looking file type that was included and guess what? TROJAN HORSE!!! 2 different 3. Avast! Blocked malware attack. 4. Avira's Luke Filewalker found "TR/Dropper.Gen" which is malware. A double negative is proof positive that this program is no longer trustworthy. May be low risk, but any threat to my computer will be wiped out immediately!
Summary
I'm puzzled right now as to what happened to this software. I'm guessing that a virus was inserted in the most recent update. I liked the trial version so much, that I invested in the paid version and it's been great up until now. I might download it from the actual site, but I'm very skeptical at this point. Not sure if I should trust it again. In fact, I'm not even going to take the risk and I'd advise you all to not do it either if you care about your computer

As several others have mentioned in their reviews, this program attempted to destroy my OS. I performed a complete uninstall, and that's when disaster struck. My computer was rendered useless because it was running at 100% with no intention of stopping, nothing was accessible and it was performing several functions on its own which were related to IDM's new malware attack. I had to turn off the machine with the power button, putting the stability of my HDD at risk.
This is the typical behavior of a malware attack. I am just now getting my computer back on after taking all precautions, and everything appears to be fine now, as no malware items have been detected. This is all she wrote, I'll never use IDM again. It's very unfortunate, because they used to be completely legitimate. -

Cons
My Windows 7 Ultimate OS get corrupted and i needed to reinstall and lose all my Personal data. Like most people experienced, System Services gradually will fail to start. "Diagnostic Policy Service is not working" and oftentimes, i get disconnected to internet.
Summary
They should be more transparent to consumers as to what should be expected to happen if ever they decide not to use the Product. Now i keep avoiding their Product despite the Good review conducted by CNET. I'm disappointed.

WILL DISABLE YOUR STANDARD DOWNLOAD CAPABILITIES TO FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE THE PACKAGE. SCAM SOFTWARE.
