Pros
Its exceptionally easy to use and super fast, too. I have looked and looked for software that would grab videos off the web and save them for me for my own future reference, and this is it!!! I have never been more pleased with a free trial...
Cons
The only con I can think of is that I wish it were free, but having said that, its worth the money to pay for it. I WILL pay for great software, and this one I am going to buy after my trial ends.

Pros
You can download virtually anything at lightning speed. It breaks up the file into six files that are downloaded simultaneously. Once that phase is complete they rejoin them into the desired file. A ten-minute YouTube video comes down so fast that you can barely get your mouse down to where close will be before it's there. In addition their customer support is totally outstanding. A one time purchase of $24.95 is good for the rest of your life (or theirs) and updates are free for life. In addition it can download other videos that are otherwise unavailable. Of course text files come down so quickly that you don't notice that they're there.
Cons
None, it's great.
Summary
Use this program!! You won't be walking out of the room because of sheer boredom watching downloads.

Very hard to uninstall completely after the trial period.
Summary
It is disgusting how some people make false claims regarding downloading speed due to the software alone!
Do some research on how youtube and other video sites rulings, allocation and peak traffic can affect your bandwidth first! -
"Fast and Efficient"

The best download manager, period (and I've tried quite a few).
It has increased my download speed from an average of 2.5Mps to up to 4.7Mbps.
In the eight months that I've used it there have been several updates, all improving functionality, and I have experienced no problems whatsoever.
It seamlessly integrates with all my browsers (IE,Firefox, Chrome and Opera) and I love the ability to pause and resume downloads.
IDM even saves your login details for various filesharing sites and downloads YouTube videos in a jiffy.
It's got too many features to mention in detail: e.g. you can specify different destination folders for various kinds of downloads - video, compressed, audio, documents, programs, etc. All I can say is it does what you expect and way more. You just queue your downloads, go to sleep, and they're there in the morning.Cons
Honestly, I haven't encountered any. I've found few programs that have made me feel so satisfied. And this is the only one so far that has made me feel like recommending it.
Summary
If you have a 20Mbps or 40Mbps broadband connection, you may not think IDM is a big deal. But if you have a maximum 4Mbps connection like me, you'll be blown away by the time you save.

Internet Download Manager is the best. I have used more than 10 download managers but they dont work like IDM. The best thing is about its quick and easy integration with existing browsers in your system and download because just a clik. No other download mangers are capable of downloading flash content as IDM does.
Cons
Well the only negative thing if I may say so about IDM is its not free. Not many people (home users) would like to pay Rs.1358 (indian rupees) for a software.
Summary
It should be ranked #1 not #3 in Download Managers.

Pros
This software is outstanding. I had tried to use many free alternatives in the past, until I installed this. This app has a military class reliability in terms of taking over downloads and videos from a myriad of file sharing and video streaming services. Although it does not download from Hulu, and some other sites, due to legal issues, it downloads just fine from the majority of popular video services. Also I was able to download from all file sharing services that I use. The speed of acceleration was spectacular as well. I had about 1MB/s with Verizon ISP in Chrome, and now I download at 5MB/s in average. I was never able to achieve such results with any free programs. Also the bad thing about free programs is that they work good, but from time to time. And sometimes they don't work, they crashed, or worked unexpectedly. I never had such issues with this tool. There are other features like site grabber, which I have not tried yet. Surely this is a 5 star application.
Cons
Design is outdated, but I was able to change toolbar to another one with a better look. Also there is no video conversion. You have to install codecs or use free separate conversion tools. It was not an issue for me to worry about.
Summary
Excellent application, very reliable, download acceleration is great. I can not find any replacement for it, this is the only software in this category that works as it should.
